Our choir, Cantemus, went to Naples for four days. Apart from giving three performances, we had some free time to explore Naples and its surroundings, including the ancient city of Herculaneum, the still active volcano Vesuvius and the lovely town of Sorrento on the coast south of Naples.

I did quite a few things on this sunny September Monday. In the morning, I rollerbladed on my usual route around the village of Zalog. In the late afternoon, I climbed a hill about 20km from my home. On top of this hill there are ruins of a castle from which you can admire the beautiful view to the west. After that, I drove to a nearby lake and watched a couple of boats and the reflections of the clouds on its surface.
