The fall was slowly coming to an end, the last warm days were saying goodbye, and it was one of the last chances to go hiking in dry conditions. I chose Mount Brana in the Kamnik Alps, a good three hour hike (and climb) to the summit at 2,252 meters above sea level. The weather was great, the views were spectacular, and there were so many things to photograph! All in all I couldn't be happier with the way the hike turned out.

I found out about a beautiful area in the mountains full of larches, and decided to go and photograph it. Fall colors were peaking and the sight was truly spectacular.

Early mornings in the early fall are often spectacular. With the fog rolling in the valleys and the foliage turning yellow and red, the landscapes offer gorgeous views. These photos were taken in the hills near the small town of Žiri.

This brook hardly flows. What fascinated me was the green surroundings and the whirlpools that sucked in yellow leaves and made for an interesting effect in photos.

The beginning of October was cold and rainy - perfect for taking pictures in woods. I took my tripod and camera and shot a brook in Kamniska Bistrica. Time flies when shooting long exposures with a tripod!
