Mushroom picking time! Well, my hubby did that while was trampling around the forest and looking for things to photograph. I only used one lens, Canon 50mm/1.8, to play with DOF.

In September I was privileged and honored to show three wonderful people around Slovenia: Jami, Margaret and Kim were a great company and good sports while exploring some of the most scenic parts of Gorenjska and Upper Soča River Valley. In one week, after starting in Ljubljana and hiding from the torrential rain in the Postojna Cave, we visited Bled, Vintgar Gorge, Pokljuka, Vrata and then crossed over to Bovec to see the beautiful Lepena and Trenta valleys.

Because of my trip to Asia it was over four months since my last climb to Velika planina and one sunny September afternoon after work I decided to return to one of my favorite places. The sky was crazy!

An afternoon drive to eastern Slovenia was a combination of business and pleasure. With a bit of time left in the late afternoon we decided to visit Mokrice Castle near Brežice. We even tried a few swings at the golf course! ;)

After a very cold, wet and miserable beginning of September when it seemed the summer was completely over, the sun came out again and the temperatures returned to the normal levels. We went out two afternoons in a row for enjoy some fresh air: first to Gradišče Lake (Gradiško jezero) and the following day to Bled where we climbed Ojstrica and Osojnica for some nice views.
