Photo Journal

There is a pond about 15 km from my house, and it offers a plethora of interesting things to photograph. It's quite small, but the fauna and flora around it is plentiful. I was only there for about an hour, but I could have easily spent the whole afternoon taking pictures.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon after a day of rain and the sky was deep blue... well, at least until noon when the white puffy clouds started to roll in. It was a perfect day to go out and shoot some pics.
Jezersko is a small village in the heart of mountains from where a short valley reaches all the way to a 1km-high rock face on the northern side of the Kamnik Alps. Unfortunately, the place was packed with picnickers, but if you hiked away from the road, you could have the place to yourself.

This was another rollerblading trip. If the weather looks promising, I always take my camera with me when I go either rollerblading or hiking. The late afternoon light makes the landscapes magical.

This is my first attempt at capturing lightning. I must have shot a hundred photos and the camera was getting really hot by the time the storm was over.

It's hard to get up early in the morning, but for pictures like these, it's worth it, at least to me! All photos taken in the vicinity of Postojna.
