The hike starts at Rogla at about 1400 meters above sea level.

It's not a demanding walk - it's more or less level and the path leads through some woods and across several clearings.

An ideal spot to rest.

Heading into the woods again.

It took one hour to get to the Lovrenc lake area. First, I climbed the viewing tower. You can't even see the lakes as they are hidden among the low but thick vegetation.

The ground is boggy and elevated wooden paths had to be built for visitors.

On the top deck of the viewing tower.

I just couldn't stop taking photos. This place is really photogenic.

It was such a nice day and the light played right into my hands.

The only place to stand are the elevated paths, and if you step off them, you might sink knee-deep into the mud. I had to maneuver a bit to take some of the photos.
R16-Rogla-121.jpg
The camera was held high up above my head for this one.
R17-Rogla-127.jpg
When I was finally done with the photo session, I headed back to the tower.
R18-Rogla-138.jpg
The walk back took less than an hour and I just made it in time to catch the last sunrays.
R19-Rogla-144.jpg
A few more minutes and the sun was gone.

Cows didn't mind being photographed.

And I thought I'd be back after dark! :)
